Lintang Trenggono pattern: Medallions composed of facing birds and moons, with the sisik (scale) pattern which has a protective force. Smaller birds, symbolising the night, are placed at random on this inky-indigo batik with its emblems of navigation and the zodiac. Lintang Trenggono is a navigational star, and lintang means 'transverse'.
